Alcidion (ASX: ALC) Lands Major 10-Year EPR Contract with UK’s North Cumbria Integrated Care

Alcidion (ASX: ALC) has secured a significant 10-year contract worth ~$37.5M (£19.0M) with North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) for the implementation of its Miya Precision Electronic Patient Record (EPR) platform. The deal marks a major milestone for Alcidion in the UK healthcare market, further expanding its presence in the North East North Cumbria region.

What This Means for NCIC

The deployment of Miya Precision will bring real-time, unified patient records to NCIC’s clinicians, helping to enhance patient care across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services. With a focus on interoperability, mobile access, and streamlined workflows, the system will integrate seamlessly with specialist platforms the Trust wants to retain.

NCIC, which serves around 500,000 people across 15 main locations and employs more than 6,500 staff, will benefit from:

  • Mobile accessibility via a smartphone app for on-the-go clinical decision-making
  • Improved patient flow management for greater efficiency
  • Enhanced clinical documentation to support all roles in patient care
  • A cloud-hosted, web-based system for seamless integration across departments

A Big Win for Alcidion

This contract builds on Alcidion’s growing footprint in the North East North Cumbria region, where Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust already uses its Patient Administration System (PAS) module, and South Tees NHS Trust operates its EPR platform.

Alcidion expects to recognise $8.0M–$9.0M in revenue from this deal in FY25, depending on project implementation milestones.

Leadership Insights

Alcidion CEO and MD, Kate Quirke, highlighted the significance of the deal:

“Securing this long-term contract with North Cumbria Integrated Care is a significant step for the Trust and demonstrates the value a modern, modular EPR platform can bring to healthcare systems. Miya Precision has a strong reputation for supporting clinicians to digitise their workflows and improve care outcomes for patients, and we are excited to deliver this for NCIC.”

NCIC’s Executive Medical Director, Dr Adrian Clements, emphasised the transformation this system will bring:

“This innovative, user-friendly system will streamline workflows, reduce duplication, and provide our teams with the tools they need to focus on what matters most – our patients. By integrating cutting-edge technology, we are not just keeping pace with modern healthcare, but setting a standard for safer, smarter, and more efficient care delivery.”

Bottom Line

This contract marks another strong step in Alcidion’s UK expansion and reinforces its position as a leader in digitally enabled healthcare. With NCIC now on board, Alcidion is solidifying its reputation for modern, interoperable, and clinician-friendly EPR solutions—a growing necessity in global healthcare systems.
