Alcidion (ASX:ALC) has just landed its first-ever contract in Wales, partnering with Hywel Dda University Health Board to roll out its Miya Precision Platform. This deal, valued at $5.5 million (approx. £2.8M) over five years—potentially extending to seven years for a total of $7.7M (approx. £3.9M)—marks a significant step in Alcidion’s UK expansion.
The Miya Precision suite, including Patient Flow, Observations and Assessments, and Smartpage for clinical communications, will be implemented across Hywel Dda’s network of hospitals and healthcare facilities. This digital upgrade aims to streamline patient management, optimise clinical resources, and enhance real-time monitoring of patient vital signs—ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.
Hywel Dda University Health Board, which serves 380,000 people across west Wales, is on a mission to modernise healthcare delivery in line with Welsh Government goals. By embracing Alcidion’s cloud-based platform, the Health Board will gain a unified digital system to manage patient information, support clinical decision-making, and improve care coordination.
