Melbourne, Australia, November 27, 2024 – Pro Medicus Limited (ASX: PME), a leading health imaging company, has announced that its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Visage Imaging, Inc., has entered into a significant $24 million, 5-year agreement with NYU Langone Health, one of the most respected healthcare institutions in North America. The contract, which is based on a transaction-based licensing model, will enable the extension of the Visage 7 suite of products, adding Visage 7 Open Archive and expanding the current capabilities of the Visage 7 Viewer and Visage 7 Workflow.
Cloud-Based Visage 7 Open Archive Deployment
As part of the contract, Visage 7 Open Archive will be deployed in the cloud, marking a significant shift towards cloud-based solutions for NYU Langone Health. The agreement also includes the eventual migration of NYU Langone’s entire current on-premise system to the cloud, enhancing its overall system flexibility and scalability.
Additionally, the existing Visage 7 Viewer contract, which was initially signed in September 2020, will be extended for another year, lasting through to 2029. Planning for the rollout of the new solution will begin immediately, with the migration of NYU Langone’s current archive to the Visage 7 Open Archive as a key focus.
Strategic Expansion and Future Trends
PME CEO Dr. Sam Hupert commented, “This is a significant deal for us as it confirms our belief that there is ample opportunity to sell our archive and worklist modules back to our existing ‘viewer-only’ clients. Over time, we believe that many customers with on-premise solutions will follow NYU’s lead and transition to the cloud, a trend that we see continuing across the industry.”
This deal further underscores PME’s expansion into North American academic institutions and sets the stage for continued growth in the cloud-based health imaging sector.
